“The Health Care Film Project” is a series of four short films that strive to re-humanize the health care/insurance debate. The films, all based on true stories, follow the paths of four people as they try to navigate through the health care system. The desire of these films is not to make a political statement, but to open up a new dialogue about the state of the current system.
For too long, the focus of the rhetoric has been about money and politics. These films put the spotlight back on the human collateral of a broken and confusing system that leaves too many people behind, some unable to afford even the most basic of treatments.
The films will be released in December 2009.
